Perfect Grilled Steaks

A perfect grilled steak is a special treat we don’t get every day! If you don’t want to spend a fortune at a restaurant, you can cure your craving at home! You can make a steak dinner at home for a family of 4 for 1/3 the cost of a steak dinner at a restaurant for the same family of 4! #PerfectGrilledSteaks #sonomnom4u

4 (12 oz./ea) Strip Steaks

salt

pepper

Fresh Rosemary Sprigs (garnish)

Steak Butter

Heat the grill to 450°F

Directions:

Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.

Take them out to the heated grill and place each steak on the rack.

For a rare steak: Cook each side of the steak for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until the inner steak temperature reaches 130°F

For a Medium-rare steak: Cook each side of the steak for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until the inner steak temperature reaches 135°F

For a Medium steak: Cook each side of the steak for approximately 5-6 minutes per side, or until the inner steak temperature reaches 145°F

For a Well-done steak: Cook each side of the steak for approximately 6-8 minutes per side, or until the inner steak temperature reaches 160°F

For Criss-Cross grill marks, turn steak 1/4 turn halfway through the time indicated per side.

Most steaks are about 1-1/2 inches so the times indicated may vary based on size of your steak.

USDA recommends whole cuts of beef should be cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F
