Italian Salad

Italian salads vary in ingredients and taste. This salad is amazing with any italian dish or pizza. Dress, toss and serve. Guests won’t even have to put their own dressing on thier own salad! VEGETARIANS: OMIT PEPPERONI! #sonomnom4u #Italiansalad #vegetarian

Italian Salad

1 head of green or red leaf lettuce

Approx 20 pepperoni slices, cut in half

Approx 8-10 artichoke hearts, quartered (We don’t use the marinated ones)

1 red or white onion, sliced or chopped

1/2 cup sprinkle parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan

Italian Dressing

1 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup white vinegar

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

2 tsp salt

3 tsp black pepper (We like fresh cracked)

1/2 cup sprinkle parmesan cheese

To make the dressing:

Place everything in a cruet and shake.

To make salad:

Chop lettuce, slice onion, cut pepperoni in half and grate the fresh parmesan.

In a large bowl, place lettuce, pepperoni, artichoke heart, and onion. Toss lightly. Pour dressing all over and toss. Pour all cheeses on it and toss until it is evenly distributed and coating the salad. Serve immediately.

NOTE: You won’t need all the dressing–the amount you use is a matter of personal preference.
