Baked Pita Chips

Sure, you can buy Stacy’s® pita chips, they are truly delicious–Or, you can make your own and eat them fresh and warm with homemade hummus! Such a delicious treat! Make a bunch and store them in a zipper bag for a quick, tasty snack! #vegetarian #sonomnom4u #Bakedpitachips

1 (16.8 oz) pack of pita bread

1/2 cup olive oil

3 tsp garlic salt

Preheat oven to 375°

Cut each circular pita bread into 8 equal triangle pieces

In a large bowl, add Olive oil.

Pour pita triangles into olive oil mixture and toss to coat them completely with oil.

Sprinkle garlic salt all over them and toss to evely distribute seasoning.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place oil coated pita squares in a single layer on the parchment lined pan.

If there is still oil in the bowl, using a basting brush to coat any pita triangles that need more oil and drizzle the rest of the oil onto the pita triangles.

Bake approximately 20 minutes or until pitas traingles are golden. Chips will crisp as they cool. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack or a parchment lined countertop to cool.

Serve with hummus, guacamole, or any other dip/spread you like–or eat them alone!
